Stephen Strasburg Is Heading Into The Post Season As The Best Pitcher In Baseball
With the uncertainty around Max Scherzer’s health (he’ll be fine), it’s worth noting how freakinnnnng good Stephen Strasburg has been. It’s almost scary how quietly he’s been doing this. Absolutely dominating everyone he’s facing. Lining them up and sitting them down with pure filth
Prettayyyy, prettay good September in my humble opinion:
He had 5 starts and he allowed an ER in only one of them! Only 1! 3/5 starts he only allowed 2 hits! 3 outta 5! And he averaged over a strikeout per inning in all 5. In all 5!
August wasn’t too shabby either:
Woof, he allowed a HR. Bad month.
So combined over August and September we’re looking at 53.2 innings, 5 earned runs, and 63 strike outs. Bananas numbers. Buh-nan-a-s.
Scherzer might be the front runner for Cy Young, but Stras makes a strong case himself. Not a bad problem to have. Bring on the Cubbies. #OurYear
